LITTLE STAR OLYMPIAD

Gone are the days of the Tabula Rasa learning. Two years of kindergarten now has almost become the first phase of compulsory education in our country. While the notion of preschool has been around for over three decades in India, its apparent importance has increased in the recent years, with a focus on social and intellectual development, preparing the child with a sound cognitive base for school. To speak the truth, kindergarten in reality has become the most important phase of a child’s life these days. Being in the domain of education for the last 16 years, feels a moral obligation to be a part of the process of development plus grooming of these little stars of India. Therefore, chiefly to motivate and to help them learn skills that they will need when they begin school, the foundation has come up with the Little Star Olympiads, for the year 2019-20. The main motto of the Olympiad is to make them understand the basic concepts that they will need to negotiate the immediate environment, language skills apt for their age, an ability to pay attention for specified periods of time, ability to reason and more. The Olympiad ensures a child to train rather than strain. The foundation is also well aware of the fact that a child’s first exposure to a world outside school curriculum calls for a lot of care. Keeping this in view, the Little Star Olympiad has been designed in such a way that it aids them to manifest the perfection they already have in them. It is all about providing the child with more experiences, thereby, to contribute in ‘readying’ them for formal learning at regular school.
